A team of givers!
Your donation by June 30th lets us start off the new fiscal year with this dream team!
In the midst of ‘Other-ing’ that is happening around the world, you are part of a universal brotherhood – “A global family of different traditions, cultures, colours, nationalities and religions,” as Sohini Jana, our Chapter Leader in Kolkata, India put it.
We are so grateful for your continuing support, which is enabling us to grow and add these amazing women to the team. We are over a quarter of the way towards meeting our goal of $20,000 by the end of this month. If we have yet to hear from you this year, your continuing investment literally means the world to us, as you support local and global change makers. Thank you for your caring hearts!
Katy Lunardelli, incoming Chief Operations Officer, is contributing vast experience from the corporate social responsibility sector where she worked in the apparel, footwear and toy sectors. Most recently, Katy was the Director of Impact and Engagement for the nonprofit organization Fair Factories Clearinghouse, where she promoted collaboration among multinational companies to improve labor conditions in global supply chains. Katy holds an MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics and a BA in Sociology and World Perspectives from Principia College. She is looking forward to joining the Euphrates family!
As an American teaching German to Afghani and Eritrean refugees in Stuttgart, Moriah discovered her passion for bridging differences. She brings this passion to her position as the Global Outreach and Communications Director at Euphrates, where she interacts directly with people from around the world. Intercultural facilitation is at the heart of what she does – bridging communication and cultural gaps by turning “others” into “brothers” and fostering an awareness of our innate interconnectedness. In her diverse facilitation work, she encourages people to share their stories, equips them with skills needed to engage effectively with others, and empowers them as global citizens.
Natalia Garvey will be joining the team as the new Administrative Director. Originally from Indonesia, she now lives in Redding, California with her husband and two children. She is a stay-at-home mom and also works at her husband’s family business, DataRay Inc., a local technology company in Redding. She has a background in Accounting and Management Information System. Natalia is a master organizer and we are thrilled to have her on the team to support all the logistical and administrative tasks that keep Euphrates running!
Anna Zoë Herr, our new Media and Design Director, is from Berlin, Germany, where she currently resides. She has lived for an extensive time in the US and at the age of 19 backpacked through Latin America by herself. She recently graduated from Principia College with a BA in Global Perspectives and Studio Art. Zoë has worked as a writer, a graphic designer and in the fields of social justice and sustainability, all of which have cultivated a keen awareness of the world. Her painting and photography has been shown at several exhibitions (you can see her work at http://www.stonesandfeathers.c
om). We are thrilled to have Zoë as part of our team!
Meet our newest Board member, Rebecca Hoskyn, who is also co-founder and leader of the Euphrates-Seattle Chapter. Rebecca has been a champion for reaching out to Muslim and Jewish communities in the Seattle area. In 2014 she joined the Euphrates Institute trip to Israel, the Palestinian Territories and Jordan, which changed her life forever and opened doors to learning more about the Middle East. Rebecca and her husband live in Redmond, WA, where they enjoy the outdoors and are planning their next travel adventures.
Our growing team is an expression of our expanding organization! Your donations sustain our work and enable us to explore new ways to incentive peace, engage youth and connect global citizens around the world!
