Euphrates Facilitates Inaugural Practicing Peace Workshop
On the 14th and 15th of February, Euphrates hosted an online practicing peace together workshop which was attended by fifty-eight (58) peace-loving people across the world. The 2-day workshop was centered around what it means to practice peace and the integration of practice in our personal, interpersonal, and community relations.
On day 1, we opened with an exploration of practicing peace at the personal level amidst conflict with an interactive conversation with Janessa Gans Wilder, Euphrates' Founder and Elias D'eis of Holy Land Trust. We then moved into the interpersonal realm and learned about listening levels, practicing deep empathic listening with partners.
On day 2, Tahil Sharma, URI Regional Coordinator, joined us to discuss the integration of personal peace practice into community care and action. And to close Dr. Whitney McIntyre Miller facilitated a conversation on integral peace leadership and its approach globally. In line with this approach, peace leaders from India and Ghana were invited to share their experiences and insights.
In the end, 100% satisfaction was reported by our global audience with 100% of participants saying they would recommend this workshop! If you missed this one, we invite you to join our next workshop on April 25th and 26th.
